Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran said that more than 80 of the commitments made in the President’s previous trip to Kerman province have been fulfilled.

(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- Massoud Karbassian, during a visit to Bam and Narmashir, said: One of the great projects was to bring water to the central parts of the country, and this dream will come true within the next two years; 150 million cubic meters of drinking water will be provided by the investment of the industrial sector, banks and the government.

Another major project in Kerman province is the establishment of a 20 MW solar power plant currently underway by foreign investments.

Stating Kerman province has managed to attract a major part of the foreign credit lines, Karbassian said that according to statistics Kerman has attracted eight billion dollars mostly with the help of the private sector.

Referring to the release of various bonds by the Treasury, the Minister said the bonds have increased investment in the country by nearly 70% over the past year.

In another part of his speech, he stated that the non-oil balance of trade, which was negative in the first half of this year, is now positive and has an upward trend.
