Ali Tayebnia, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran, and He Lifeng, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission of the Peoples Republic of China, discussed how to expand economic ties.
(SHADA: TEHRAN) -- In this meeting, issues related to the financing of projects in Iran and the inter-bank relations were specifically examined, Ali Tayebnia said.

Stating that the financing contract for the Tehran-Mashhad Electronic Railway Project was signed last week at the Bank of Industry and Mine as the first financing project between Iran and China, he said the development of Abadan refinery is likely to be the second project to be funded by the Chinese.

In addition to these cases, a large amount of projects have been introduced over time to China, and they promised us to review them all quickly and enter the financing phase, Tayebnia added.

Moreover, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which Iran is one of its founders, is currently considering some of our financing projects, he noted.

At today's meeting, we also talked about banking relations, and China promised to pursue this issue and establish a banking system between Iranian and Chinese banks as soon as possible, the Economy Minister stressed.
