Bushehr on Path of Surge in Economy; Emphasis on Accelerated Investment and Exports in Free Zone

The Governor of Bushehr, in a meeting with the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones, underscored the need to expedite investment attraction, expand production infrastructure, and enhance export capacities in the Bushehr Free Zone.

According to SHADA, the two sides reviewed the existing capacities and opportunities available to the Bushehr Free Zone, emphasizing greater coordination and cooperation to provide the groundwork for both domestic and foreign investors and to remove administrative and executive obstacles.
Governor Arsalan Zareh, pointing to the strategic position of Bushehr Province in southern Iran, stated: "Owing to its direct access to the high seas of the Persian Gulf, proximity to regional markets, possession of major commercial ports, energy infrastructure, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, as well as vast capacities in fisheries, trade, and logistics, Bushehr ranks among the country’s most significant regions for investment development and export growth."
Zareh added: "By leveraging these competitive advantages, the Bushehr Free Zone can emerge as a key hub for production, trade, and exports, playing an effective role in realizing economic development policies and expanding commercial ties with neighboring countries."
Hossein Forouzan, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones, also emphasized the strategic importance of the Bushehr Free Zone and announced the secretariat’s readiness to support the zone’s development programs. He stated: "Accelerating investment attraction, completing infrastructure projects, streamlining administrative processes, and supporting producers and exporters will be among the primary priorities in the Bushehr Free Zone’s development agenda."
Both sides underscored their commitment to formulating joint programs aimed at expediting the implementation of economic projects, strengthening the business environment, boosting export-oriented production, and maximizing the geopolitical and economic potential of Bushehr Province.
