Isfahan Approves $130.4 Million in Foreign Investment in Six Months

Isfahan Province approved 10 foreign investment licences worth a total of $130.395 million during the first six months of Iran’s 1405 calendar year, from March 20 to September 21, 2026, according to the provincial Department of Economic Affairs and Finance.

The projects, approved by Iran’s Foreign Investment Board, span manufacturing, energy, industry and services, highlighting the diversity of investment opportunities in one of the country’s major industrial centres.

According to Shada, the news service of Iran’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, the approved investments involve investors from Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, China, Oman and the Netherlands, as well as Iranians residing in Germany.

The projects cover a broad range of activities, including cotton yarn and carpet manufacturing, solar power generation, steel production, foundry additives, flooring materials, the establishment of a medical clinic, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and the production of engine oil and industrial lubricants.

Naser Yarmohammadian, director-general of economic affairs and finance for Isfahan Province, said the diversity of the approved projects reflected the province’s industrial and economic potential and its capacity to attract international capital.

Foreign investment can provide the financing needed to implement projects while facilitating technology transfer, expanding production, creating jobs and strengthening businesses’ presence in domestic and international markets, he added.

Foreign investment approvals exceed $262 million in 2025/26

Isfahan approved 24 foreign investment licences worth more than $262.951 million during Iran’s 1404 calendar year, which ran from March 21, 2025, to March 20, 2026, Yarmohammadian said.

The total value of approved investments rose by more than 33% compared with the preceding Iranian calendar year, according to the provincial official.

He said the continued approval of foreign investment projects and the growing diversity of sectors attracting investors underscored Isfahan’s capacity to draw international capital and the importance of sustained efforts to facilitate investment.

The provincial Department of Economic Affairs and Finance is working through its Investment Services Centre and in coordination with relevant government agencies to simplify and accelerate investment-related procedures, Yarmohammadian said.

The initiative aims to create more favourable conditions for domestic and foreign investors and facilitate the implementation of investment projects.

The figures refer to approved foreign investment licences and do not necessarily represent capital already transferred into the province or projects that have become operational.
