Iran’s Secretariat of the High Council of Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones has called for closer coordination among government agencies to combat goods and foreign currency smuggling, warning that the illicit trade undermines domestic production, discourages investment, and hampers economic development in the country’s free trade and special economic zones.
Hossein Forouzan, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones, during his visit to the Maku Free Zone and in a meeting with economic activists, underscored that the full implementation of the Integrated Management Law is the fundamental solution to eliminating Unnecessary bureaucratic measures and resolving administrative redundancies within these zones.
