Iran’s Assembly of Experts Praises Economic Ministry’s Performance

The Head of the Presidium of Iran’s Assembly of Experts has commended the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance for its recent initiatives, stressing the importance of public service, improved service quality, and sustained pursuit of economic policies to facilitate livelihoods and support production.


According to SHADA, Ayatollah Seyyed Abolghasem Faghihi, Head of the Assembly’s Presidium, made the remarks during a meeting with Seyyed Ali Madanizadeh, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance. Expressing appreciation for the Ministry’s efforts, Ayatollah Faghihi identified service to the citizenry, enhancement of the efficiency of the economic system, public satisfaction, and the preservation of unity among state institutions as among the foremost responsibilities of managers in the Islamic Republic.
During the meeting, Minister Madanizadeh presented a comprehensive report on the Ministry’s key actions and programs across various economic sectors, with an emphasis on sustaining structural reforms, improving the business environment, and facilitating economic activities.
Ayatollah Faghihi underscored the need to continue transformative approaches in the national economy, describing the Ministry’s measures to streamline services for economic operators, support production, and remove investment barriers as commendable. He further stressed the importance of upholding public dignity, elevating service standards, and advancing effective economic policies to enhance livelihoods.
According to the report presented at the session, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance has placed a series of executive measures on its agenda, the most significant of which include: streamlining and digitizing customs procedures to expedite cargo clearance; expanding tax incentives to bolster production and investment; implementing facilitative packages aimed at preserving employment and supporting economic enterprises; accelerating the approval and execution of foreign investment projects; improving the business climate; and strengthening coordination among economic bodies.
In concluding remarks, Ayatollah Faghihi stated that the continuation of such approaches would effectively strengthen public trust, boost production, support economic actors, and enhance the overall efficiency of the country’s economic system.
