Economy Minister: Iran Has Paid $80 Million in Insurance Compensation for Ships and Aircraft

Seyyed Ali Madanizadeh, Iran’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, said in a televised interview: “In the insurance sector, approximately 50 trillion tomans have so far been paid in compensation for damage to vehicles and residential properties (which have suffered damage during the recent US and Israeli attacks on Iran). In addition, around $80 million has been paid to cover losses sustained by ships and aircraft."

“Overall, the government, the Reconstruction Headquarters and, in particular, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and our Renewal Task Force are working to pool and mobilize all available resources. Our aim is to provide the maximum possible support to businesses and facilities that have sustained damage, compensate them for their losses, and deliver whatever assistance the country is able to provide.”
