Speaking on his official visit to Iraq, Hemmati noted that before the war, Iran's annual exports to Iraq stood at approximately $12 billion, a significant portion of which was contributed by the private sector.

According to the CBI, the visit aims to deepen bilateral cooperation, remove structural bottlenecks in trade and banking interactions, and design new mechanisms for joint commercial exchanges within the framework of agreements reached by the two countries' central bank governors.
