Iran's Economy Minister Meets New UAE Ambassador, Invites Emirati Investment

Tehran - Ali Madanizadeh, Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, met with Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Iran, inviting Emirati investors to explore opportunities in the Iranian economy.

According to Shada, Madanizadeh emphasized expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation during the meeting, stating that relations between Iran and the UAE are extensive, particularly in economic sectors.
"The UAE, as Iran's second-largest trading partner, holds significant importance in our bilateral relations," the minister noted.
Madanizadeh acknowledged that while economic ties are substantial, both sides must work to facilitate trade and financial exchanges while expanding banking interactions.
Highlighting investment prospects, he stated that large-scale projects across various sectors offer opportunities for Emirati participation. The minister noted that the Iranian government provides investment licenses for such projects, a benefit that could appeal to UAE investors.
Investing in the digital economy and utilizing Iran's strategic location as a corridor to regional markets were among other topics raised during the meeting.
Ambassador Belhoul expressed hope that the upcoming Joint Economic Commission, scheduled for next year, would serve as a valuable opportunity to further develop bilateral economic and trade relations.
