Hossein Forouzan, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council of Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones, conducted an on-site inspection of the Norduz border terminal and customs facility, accompanied by Ezatollah Habibzadeh, the parliamentary representative for Jolfa, and Hadi Moghaddamzadeh, Chief Executive Officer of the Aras Free Zone. The visit was aimed at a firsthand assessment of operational challenges and impediments affecting cross-border trade and transit activities at this strategic entry point.
TEHRAN – Iran has completed all necessary preparations for the establishment of a joint free trade zone with Turkey in the border area of Khoy and is now awaiting reciprocal action from Ankara to operationalize the project, a senior Iranian official announced on Monday.
