Speaking on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China, Madanizadeh—who also chairs the Iran-China Joint Economic Commission—emphasized the importance of removing barriers and creating incentives to boost bilateral cooperation. “We will follow up on the issues raised during this visit over the next one or two months and aim to deliver tangible results,” he said.
Madanizadeh also referenced Iran’s oil exports to China and described multilateral platforms such as the SCO and BRICS as viable alternatives to counter unilateralism. He argued that such organizations could foster new economic alliances and coalitions in a shifting global landscape.
Iran’s ambassador to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, underscored the significance of the President’s visit being accompanied by the Minister of Economy. “I invited the Minister to China to leverage the economic potential of the SCO Summit and to advance bilateral cooperation,” he said.
Rahmani Fazli added that the Minister’s presence could play a pivotal role in eliminating obstacles and promoting investment and production through targeted incentives.
