Economy Minister: My sole aim as minister is to enact genuine change

During Student Day at Sharif University of Technology, Iran’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Dr. Seyed Ali Madanizadeh, stated he took on the ministerial role to enact meaningful change. He encouraged students worried about Iran's future to focus on essential fields like management, economics, public policy, and social sciences.

Madanizadeh stated that his lifelong concern for the people and country has defined his path. He encouraged students to consider fields beyond engineering if they are passionate about the nation's future, emphasizing the critical need for talented individuals in policy-making, social sciences, economics, and management.

Referring to the pyramid of governance, he explained that while only a few stand at the top, it is the intellectuals at the base who carry the main burden of responsibility, and no single person can run a country alone.
Since becoming minister, he has sought to leverage the resources of universities, graduates, seminaries, and students, framing this initiative as a collective movement rather than an individual gesture.
