Head of Investment Organization: Investment Security is a Must

The Deputy Minister and Head of Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, speaking at a meeting with economic activists from Bushehr Province, emphasized the need to remove investment barriers, streamline administrative bureaucracy, and strengthen the role of economic activists in attracting domestic and foreign investors. He identified investment in the upstream oil and gas sectors as a key solution for improving the country's economic situation.

According to SHADA, the meeting was held to find solutions and remove obstacles to investment and economic development in Bushehr Province.

At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Economy Minister outlined the Economy Ministry's priorities in the field of investment, stating: "Enhancing the real role of economic activists in attracting investors is essential. To achieve this, we need to accurately identify the root causes and diagnose the existing obstacles. Streamlining and smoothing administrative bureaucracy and eliminating redundant and overlapping laws will be among the fundamental steps in this direction."

The Deputy Economy Minister also stressed the need to create a secure environment for attracting domestic and foreign investment and cited addressing the multiplicity of systems and revising them as among future actions in this area.

He described the activation of the Bushehr Free Zone as a game-changer and considered its role in facilitating investment processes to be important.

At the end of the meeting, investment in upstream oil and gas sectors was emphasized as the best solution for solving the country's economic problems under current circumstances.
