According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance's news service (SHADA), the visit is being made at the official invitation of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is expected to provide an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries.
During the visit, senior officials from both sides are scheduled to hold talks to expand cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, and other issues of mutual interest, including regional developments.
The Iraqi premier received an official welcome upon his arrival in Tehran, with the ceremony attended by Economy Minister Dr. Madanizadeh.
