Speaking to reporters during his visit to Kish Island, Madanizadeh highlighted the inauguration of airport infrastructure projects, valued at over 15 trillion tomans, as the result of years of effort by local teams in the Kish Free Zone.
Referring to Ayatollah Khamenei’s directives on maritime-based economic development, the minister said the government is working to transform key coastal regions—including Makran, Chabahar, and Kish- into strategic economic zones.
He emphasized that the ministry’s main focus for the Iranian year 1404, designated as the “Year of Investment for Production,” is attracting both domestic and foreign capital to shape a promising economic future for the nation.
Madanizadeh reiterated that Kish Island is central to these plans, with goals to establish it as Iran’s first aviation hub and a leading center for digital economy within the free zone framework.
He concluded by stating that the visit aims to identify and address the challenges faced by residents, tourists, and business stakeholders on the island, expressing hope that ongoing efforts will significantly reduce local economic and social obstacles.
