Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Seyed Ali Madanizadeh stated that over the past two to three weeks, authorities have developed a comprehensive package aimed at compensating for losses caused by recent bombings and supporting impacted economic enterprises. “The package has been approved by the government’s economic working group and will be implemented once final clearance is granted,” he said.
According to SHADA, Dr. Madanizadeh also highlighted the scale of the damage inflicted on the country’s industrial sector. He noted that more than 3,000 industrial units nationwide have been affected as a result of what he referred to as the “Third Imposed War.” Based on cross-referenced data from the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the national tax authority, preliminary assessments indicate that approximately 500 industrial units have been completely destroyed.
He emphasized that this figure does not include major industries such as steel and petrochemical complexes, which have also sustained significant losses. “Initial estimates point to damages amounting to several billion dollars. Official figures will be released after final verification,” he added.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to economic recovery, the minister confirmed that the newly prepared support package includes measures to assist businesses impacted both directly by the bombings and indirectly by the broader economic fallout. “The package has been reviewed and endorsed by the economic working group this week. Following Cabinet approval, its implementation will begin promptly,” he said.
