The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reported that aggregate trade stood at $109.67 billion during the 1404 Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2025–March 20, 2026). Total trade volume over the period amounted to 191.6 million tonnes, based on figures cited by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance’s news service, Shada.
Non-oil exports accounted for 150.5 million tonnes, valued at $51.66 billion, reflecting the continued centrality of petrochemical products, minerals, and industrial goods in Iran’s export mix.
Imports, meanwhile, totalled 41.1 million tonnes, valued at $58.02 billion, indicating a modest trade deficit over the period.
The data also showed that 20.5 million tonnes of goods transited through Iran during the year, highlighting the country’s role as a regional logistics corridor linking Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Persian Gulf.
