Economy Minister: Iran Clears 1 Million Tons of Essential Goods During 12-Day War

Tehran, June 2025 – Despite sustained military aggression by the Zionist regime, Iran successfully cleared 1 million tons of essential goods through customs during the 12-day conflict, Economic Affairs and Finance Minister Seyed Ali Madanizadeh announced during an inspection visit to Tehran Customs.

The minister revealed this achievement came alongside 1.3 million tons total clearance (both essential and non-essential goods), representing: 87% increase in essential goods clearance vs. the pre-war period, 44% overall growth in total customs processing

Operational Breakthroughs

Madanizadeh credited the success to three key measures: 24/7 customs operations implementing round-the-clock processing, Suspension of bank guarantee requirements to accelerate approvals, and decentralized clearance through the designated production unit customs.

"Through coordinated action across agencies, we maintained critical supply chains despite wartime conditions," the minister stated, praising customs staff for their tireless efforts.

The announcement comes after Israel’s June 13 nighttime attacks that martyred military leaders and nuclear scientists. While the 12-day conflict inflicted civilian casualties, Iran’s economy demonstrated notable stability, avoiding the inflationary spirals and supply collapses typical in war economies.

The customs milestone confirms the effectiveness of contingency measures implemented by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, particularly the emergency import facilitation program launched at the conflict’s outset.
