Foreign Investment License Worth $10 Million Issued for Steel Project in Khosf

South Khorasan’s Director General of Economic Affairs and Finance has announced the approval of a $10 million foreign investment license for a major industrial project in Khosf, South Khorasan.

According to Shada, Morteza Zakerian, the province’s Director General of Economic Affairs and Finance, confirmed that the license was granted for the development of a facility to produce hot-rolled alloy steel belts and strips. The investment is backed by a Chinese investor.

“This project is among the province’s strategic initiatives and is expected to play a vital role in fostering sustainable employment and driving regional economic growth,” Zakerian stated.
He emphasized that attracting foreign capital remains a top priority for South Khorasan, adding: “We are committed to improving infrastructure and streamlining administrative procedures to encourage greater foreign participation in the province.”
Zakerian concluded by noting that the project will significantly expand South Khorasan’s industrial output and serve as a key step toward strengthening domestic production capabilities.
