According to Shada, during the meeting, Askari emphasized Iran's prioritization of its neighboring countries in expanding trade relations, highlighting Armenia's unique position as a key partner. He noted that Armenia's advantageous geopolitical location between Europe and Asia, along with its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, makes it an attractive partner for Iran's economic initiatives.

Expressing satisfaction with the current level of customs collaboration, Askari indicated that there is significant potential for further enhancement, contingent upon the commitment and capabilities of both nations.

He expressed optimism that cooperation along the Iran-Armenia border could serve as a model for comprehensive customs collaboration. Askari underscored the necessity of establishing concrete and actionable steps to achieve their objectives, proposing the initiation of a green channel and the exchange of lists of goods prioritized by both countries to facilitate customs processes for economic operators.
