According to the agency’s Wednesday release, Iran exported 61.20 million tonnes of non-oil goods during this period, marking a 0.48% year-on-year increase in volume. However, the overall value of exports fell by 10%, signaling a decline in global demand or price pressures .
The report indicated that Iran’s non-oil trade comprised 48.811 million tonnes of goods, including $16.549 billion in exports and $17.627 billion in imports across 12.209 million tonnes.
While the volume of non-oil exports rose 1.46%, their value dropped by 5.51%. Imports also contracted, with volume decreasing by 3.23% and value plunging by 14.2%.
Petrochemical exports accounted for a substantial portion, totaling 17.402 million tonnes and valued at $6.894 billion—representing an 8.3% decline in volume and a 10.22% fall in value year-on-year.
The country’s top exported items during the period were natural gas, liquefied propane, methanol, liquefied butane, and oil bitumen. Primary imports included unrefined gold, corn for animal feed, rice, sunflower seed oil, and soybeans.
Iran's major export destinations included China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkiye, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Oman. Key import partners were the UAE, China, Turkiye, India, Germany, Russia, and the Netherlands.
